The bride is a graduate of the University of Kentucky. The groom is a graduate of Western Kentucky University.

Shannon K. and Denise S. McElroy of Frankfort announce the birth of their son, George Edward (Jed) McElroy, born April 26, 2013, at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.
He weighed 8 pounds, 15.7 ounces, and was 21 inches long.
Big sisters Annie, 3, and Emery, 2, welcomed George home.

Josh and Nicole Cooper of Mount Washington announce the birth of their son, Bennett Austin Cooper, born April 10, 2013, at Baptist Hospital East.

Shelby County high school reunion to be held July 20
The Shelby County High School Class of 1978 is having its 35th class reunion July 20 at the Gallrein Farms Pavilion. Cocktails will be from 6-7 p.m. (BYOB with soft drink mixers provided.) The classmates’ dinner will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. At 8:30 p.m., the class will open the reunion to any member of the classes of 1977 and 1979 who would like to share memories and embellished stories with old friends, event organizers said. There will be a $5 cover charge to cover the cost of soft drinks and mixers.

Karla Michelle Satterly, daughter of Kevin Mark and Patsy Satterly, and Timothy Joe Griffieth, son of Chester and Vida Griffieth, were married April 20, 2013.
The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her father.
Krista Johnson, sister of the bride, served as the maid of honor. Annalese Taylor, daughter of the bride, and Whitney Griffieth, daughter of the groom, were bridesmaids.
Stanley Creech, friend of the groom, served as the best man. Mary Cosby and Timmy Stratton, friends of the groom, also stood in honor on his behalf.
