The Anderson County Health Department, Anderson Humane Society and local veterinarians will offer a rabies clinic for dogs and cats June 15 from 1-3 p.m. at the Lions Club pavilion behind the baseball fields in the Anderson County community park.
The rabies vaccination will be $5 per animal.
All pets must be on a leash or in a carrier, and all pets must be at least 3 months old.
Other vaccines may be available for an additional charge, according to a press release. Cash or check will be accepted.

The Lester and Sarah Goodlett family reunion will be held Saturday, June 15 at Misty Valley Wedding Chapel in Shelbyville from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

There is a creek for the children to enjoy but they must wear shoes, according to event organizers.

Frankfort Regional Medical Center received an “A” rating for the second consecutive report on patient safety from The Leapfrog Group in its Spring 2013 report card - Hospital Safety Scores, according to a press release.
The score reflects Frankfort Regional’s overall performance in keeping patients safe from infections, injuries, and medical and medication errors. Frankfort Regional also received an “A” rating in the previous report in November 2012, according to the press release.

Those 18 and older who register to donate blood with the Kentucky Blood Center will be entered to win a 2013 Toyota Prius, the agency announced.
Those who register will also be entered to win two tickets to see Jimmy Buffett at Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati on July 16, according to a news release.
The agency will accept blood donations Tuesday, June 11 from 12:30 to 7 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 111 N. Main St., Lawrenceburg.
Donors are entered to win the vehicle each time they donate blood through Sept. 13.

The Lawrenceburg Pierian Woman’s Club awarded cash prizes at its May 16 meeting to high school student winners in the art contest and exhibition held May 11 in the Anderson County High School auditorium lobby.
First, second and third place prizes were awarded for painting, drawing, photography, sculpture and mixed media.
