Through a $1,200 grant from the VSA Kentucky’s Art in Inclusion program, students in Angela Champion’s sixth and seventh grade art classes recently worked on murals under the instruction of artist Alfredo Escobar.
According to a press release from the middle school, Champion led students in the study of famous mural artist Diego Rivera by creating timelines and analyzing Rivera’s iconic murals and helped each class brainstorm and draft themed murals of its choice.
