Stars at Work
The Stars at Work second meeting was Feb. 21, 2013. In this meeting we elected officers. Josh Cooper is the president, Makayla Stratton is the vice president, Nita Kiem is the secretary and Taylor Dudley is the reporter. The Stars at Work also came up with a name for the club. The nominations for our club name were the Shields stars 4-H club, 4-H Stars, Clover Stars, Clovers and Stars at Work. Elijah Johnson came up with the name Stars at Work, which was voted as our club name.

Levi Wilson of Anderson County Middle School won a full-tuition scholarship to Western Kentucky University after taking first place individually at the KSPE Capital Chapter MathCounts competition.
Middle School Mathletes from Anderson County Middle School took second place at the competition.
Western Kentucky University awarded scholarships to the top three scoring individuals, with Wilson winning a four-year, full-tuition scholarship to WKU.

Christian Academy of Lawrenceburg science fair students will be advancing to the regional round in Louisville, according to a release from the school. By being the top finishers in the Christian Academy of Lawrenceburg Science Fair, these students qualified for the ACSI regional round to held in March at Portland Christian Academy in Louisville.

To teach her students about community, preschool teacher Andrea Newman decided to forgo the typical Valentine’s Day party for her students
When kids are 3, 4 and 5 years old, Newman said, they tend to think a lot about themselves.
So Early Childhood Center students gathered up their homemade Valentine’s Day cards, hopped on a bus and found themselves walking through the hallways of the Heritage Hall Health and Rehabilitation Center on Friday, Feb. 15.
