The Christian Academy of Lawrenceburg boys' basketball team recently split a pair of contests, dropping a 60-46 decision to Northside of Louisville but rebounding with a 68-49 win over Mt. Carmel, from eastern Kentucky.
Turnovers killed the Rams against Northside.
After looking like they had the game in hand in the first quarter at Northside, the Rams lost their momentum because of the turnovers.
While Forrest Bowman had come off the bench to give Christian Academy a first quarter boose, the Rams were looking at a 30-20 halftime deficit.

The Christian Academy of Lawrenceburg Rams defeated Danville Christian 65-21 in boys’ high school basketball action on Dec. 2. The game was played at the Anderson County Early Childhood Center.
This was the second meeting of the season, with CAL winning the first by 34 points.
Coming into this game, Ram coach Cory Robinson was in a difficult position, not wanting to allow his players to play without intensity, but also desiring to teach the life lesson of being merciful.

The Christian Academy of Lawrenceburg Rams defeated the Georgetown Crusaders, a home schooled group, 67-41, recently. The game, played at the Early Childhood Center Gymnasium drew 164 fans. From the start the Rams outmanned the Crusaders. Coming off a loss last week, CAL Coach Cory Robinson was not satisfied with sloppy play early in the game against Georgetown. He pulled the starters within the first minutes, apparently getting their attention as the Rams outscored Georgetown 31-5 in the second quarter.

The Christian Academy of Lawrenceburg boys' middle school basketball team opened regular season play in Morehead on Saturday with a big win over Lakeside Christian. The Rams, coached by Mark Bowman, came ready to play defense, forcing 17 turnovers as they rolled to a 51-22 victory.
In the first half, it was tenacious defense that led to many offensive opportunities. Early on, Chandler Royalty stole the ball and drove for the easy lay-in.
