Opening Day Ceremonies for Anderson County Little League, scheduled for Saturday, have been canceled. The ceremony has been rescheduled for Saturday, April 27.
Players should contact their team coaches concerning game schedules.

Spring football game rescheduled
The Anderson County High School football team spring game, originally set for Friday night, has been rescheduled for Monday, April 22 at 7 p.m. due to Friday's inclement weather. Bearcat coach Mark Peach has also announced that following the game, there will be a community forum on behalf of the Anderson County Bearcat Youth Football League.

Martin roars through PDGA tournament
Michael Martin, a sophomore at Anderson County High School, won the Rec Division of the 4-day Professional Disc Golf Association Ameteur Championships, held in Bowling Green over the weekend. Martin took a class of 147 disc golfers and led after all four rounds.

Marissa Walker slapped four hits and Anna-Marie Hyatt belted her first home run as Anderson County pounded No. 23 Woodford County, 15-5, last Wednesday night at Anderson. Courtney-Gale hawkins added three hits.An eight-run second inning, followed by five more runs in the third, powered the Lady Bearcats to the win.

Youth football sign-ups underway
Registrations for Anderson County Bearcat Youth Football and Cheerleading will be conducted on Saturday, April 20 and Saturday, April 27, at Legion Park from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Bearcat Youth Football and Cheerleading is open to students in grades 3-6. The cost is $75 per participant with each additional sibling costing $50.
