‘A Country Christmas’ parade is Dec. 7

Santa Claus is coming to town, specifically, downtown Lawrenceburg.
The city of Lawrenceburg will be hosting its annual Christmas parade Dec. 7 at 5 p.m., according to city hall.  
The grand marshal will be Marva Gill in recognition of the many years of volunteer work she’s dedicated to Anderson County, according to City Clerk Robbie Hume.
Parade line-up will begin at the American Legion park with judging of entries beginning at 4:30 p.m.
The parade will depart at approximately 5 p.m., winding its way down Broadway onto Main Street and end at Mustang Trail, the Main Street entrance to the Anderson County Middle School.
Those interested in participating in the parade can download an application from the city’s website or pick up a form from city hall.
The city will also be holding a “Lighting of the Green” and a remembrance ceremony on Friday, Dec. 6 at 6 p.m.
