The agency that helps guide children through the legal system got a significant monetary boost during the recent Lawrenceburg Fair and Horse Show.
Twenty people, including a number of county and city officials, volunteered to become prisoners during the fair and raise $250 each to make bail. Their efforts raised over $5,000 for CASA, according to organizer Ginny Smith.
“This was a tremendous fundraiser and I am thrilled that the citizens of Anderson County were so willing to support CASA,” Smith said.
