‘Yes, Virginia’ opens Thursday

Saffell Street Elementary will perform the original musical “Yes, Virginia the Musical” on Thursday, Dec. 13 for two performances at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the Saffell Street gym.
Music instructor Meredith Lewis recently received $1,000 in grant money from Macy’s, Inc., to produce the holiday musical based on the famous 1897 letter to the editor from Virginia Hanlon to New York Sun Editor Francis Church.
