It might be a stretch to say that Anderson County has been a cradle of basketball coaches, but the county has had its share of people who have had a significant impact on the game. Kavanaugh High School
Earle Jones led the Tigers to a state runner-up finish in 1930. Later, he coached many years at Maysville High School, winning a state title.
