The Brainpoppers 4-H Club met Feb. 7 at Emma B. Ward.
The meeting was called to order by the club president Olivia Rader.
The American pledge was led by Jalen Newton, and the 4-H pledge was led by Kortney Roberts.
We answered roll call by jumping out of your chair.
The club secretary, Hunter Rutherford, read the minutes from our last meeting.
Mrs. Gill told the club about the shooting club meeting on the 20th for those interested. Our program for the day was titled “Weather watchers and warnings and what would happen during a storm for shelter.”
The vice president of our club, Eli Drury, had the following people help with presenting the program: Jada Young, Jalen Newton, Kara Cundiff, Caleb Stratton, Ruby Campbell, Olivia Rader and Colin Spencer.
We learned about what you should do when a tornado has come and shelter. After our program, our recreation leaders, Jada Young and Jalen Newton, led us in a game called “This is my nose.”
A motion was made by Bobby Beasley to adjourn the meeting and was seconded by Marissa Herrington.
Our next meeting will be March 6.
