Anderson Community Education will provide a variety of classes for February.

When: Feb.10 and17 from 12:30-2:30 p.m.
Where: Anderson County Adult Learning Center, 219 E. Woodford St. with instructor Jacqueline Zeller
Cost: $30 (four hours of instruction) Limit four students.
Description: This class is designed to teach adults, with one-on-one instruction, how to use a computer and mouse. Learn an introduction to accessing the Internet for topic searches, travel plans, local weather, sports and news. Learn a basic introduction to Microsoft Word, and Excel for creating office documents such as flyers, business letters and a simple spreadsheet. Basic keyboarding (Typing) is required before taking this class. Basic keyboarding is a free class offered at ACE year-round.
When: Feb. 14 at 7 p.m.
Where: Anderson Public Library with instructor Paula Mullins
Description: On the second Tuesday of each month, the Anderson Public Library presents a spring gardening class.
When: Feb. 16 at 6 p.m.
Where: Adult Learning Center, 219 E. Woodford St., with financial advisor Tom Potts
Description: Learn how to protect 401Ks and investment portfolios with government backed investments and still have an opportunity for growing portfolios.
When: Tuesdays and Thursdays. This session begins on Feb. 16-March 20 from 5:45-6:45 p.m.
Where: Anderson County High School cafeteria with certified instructor Tonjua Casey
Cost: $60 (10 sessions)
Description: Zumba is a fusion of Latin and international music-dance themes that creates a dynamic and effective fitness workout. Wear comfortable clothes and gym shoes.
Boot Camp fitness
When: Tuesdays from 6-7:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 9-10:30 a.m.
This new session begins February 18-March 20 twice a week
Where: Emma B. Ward Elementary School gym with certified personal trainer Todd Barrick.
Cost: $60 (10 sessions)
Description: Boot Camp Fitness is held twice a week teaching five different fitness interval sessions. The workout consists of circuit training, heart rate intervals, strength, core and plymetric training. This camp is co-ed and is structure to fit all fitness levels. Please bring a mat, bottle of water, a towel and gym shoes.
