Advance Auto Parts is coming to Lawrenceburg and will soon be setting up shop next to the Anderson County Health Department.
City Clerk Robbie Hume confirmed Monday afternoon that an Advance Auto Parts store is in the process of being constructed on Glensboro Road between the health department and Lawrenceburg Physical Therapy.
Code enforcement officer and city building inspector Tom Bond said Tuesday morning that workers have begun preparing the site. Bond said he wrote Advance Auto Parts a building permit the week before the Fourth of July, and that completed store would be about 6,800 square feet.
According to property transfer public documents on file, Advance Auto Parts paid $225,000 for about 9/10th of an acre.
Bond said he was not told when Advance Auto Parts would open, but estimated construction may be competed in about three to four months, no more than six months, depending upon weather and the pace of construction work.
Bond said he wasn’t sure how many people would staff the new Lawrenceburg location, or if store management would be looking to hire.
Advance Auto Parts, according to its website, is a full-service automotive retailer that specializes in parts, accessories, batteries and maintenance items.
