Pictured is student Julia McNulty with her winning essay and design for Teresa Miller’s classroom mural at Saffell Street Elementary. After learning about muralists in art class, Miller’s students created a classroom mural about how they can make a difference in the world by loving each other, according to teacher Teresa Miller. ‘If everyone in the world started responding in love today, the world would be different in many ways,’ eight-year-old McNulty wrote. ‘For example, there would be no crime. People wouldn’t want to hurt each other or steal. Also, everyone would have a home.’ McNulty’s chosen design depicts images of students helping others, as well as a newspaper with the headline ‘No Crime!’
