Anderson Community Education has announced classes it is currently offering.

Hip Hop Dance for Children
(Ages 7-15)
When: April 12-May 17 on Tuesday afternoons from 5-6 p.m.
Where: Anderson Middle School cafeteria with Jeriann Winfrey, instructor
Cost: $39
Description: This six-week class is an introduction to the hip hop style of dance. Many different styles and techniques will be demonstrated and taught for the specified age groups. Children will perform for parents and relatives in a dance recital at the end of the class. Participants need to wear tennis shoes and long, flexible pants.

Advanced Digital Camera
(DSLR) Photography
When: April 12, 19 and 26 on Tuesdays from 6:30-8 p.m.
Where: Adult Learning Center, 219 E. Woodford St. with Jessica Houtz, instructor
Cost: $39
Description: This class is not for point-and-shoot users.
 Get ready to take photos of family and friends this summer. Get an in-depth look at your camera functions such as metering modes, focus modes, exposure lock, white balance, and RAW and JPEG formats to produce quality photos. Learn details on aperture, shutter speed and ISO. All three elements play a very important part of exposure. Get ready for hands-on projects, and bring your DSLR camera.

Zumba Dance Fitness
(Ages 12 and older)
When: April 14-May 19 Thursday evenings from 7-8.
Where: Emma B. Ward Elementary cafeteria with Annette Cheak, instructor
Description: Zumba is a fusion of Latin and international music-dance themes that creates a dynamic, exciting and effective fitness workout. The routines feature aerobics training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. Zumba is a mixture of body movements with easy to follow steps. Wear comfortable clothes and tennis shoes.
Anderson Community Education also offers adult education programs with instruction for a GED diploma, college preparation, computer literacy or English as a second language.
