Anderson Community Education offers new classes

Anderson Community Education will offer the following courses.
Puppy pre-school
When: Saturday, Feb. 2 through Feb. 23 at 10 a.m.
Where: Adult Learning Center, 219 E. Woodford St., with professional dog trainer Jean Gibowski
Cost: $40
Description: Learn how to turn your rambunctious puppy into a well-trained dog. The focus will be on socialization. Please bring proof of DAPP vaccinations for your puppy. This class is for puppies 8 to 16 weeks old.

Zumba dance fitness
When: Ongoing classes are held Tuesday and Thursday beginning Jan. 22
Two classes each evening: first class from 4:15-5 p.m. and second class from 5:15-6 p.m.
Where: Saffell Street Elementary cafeteria with certified instructor Tonjua Casey
Cost: $5 per class or $45 (10 classes)
Description: Zumba is a fusion of Latin and international music-dance themes that creates a dynamic, exciting and effective fitness workout. The routines feature aerobics training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. Zumba is a mixture of easy to follow dance steps. Wear comfortable clothes and gym shoes.

Couponing to save big time
When: Monday nights beginning Feb. 4-Feb. 25 from 6-7:30 p.m.
Where: Adult Learning Center, 219 East Woodford St. with instructor Petra Gonzalez
Cost: $20
Description: Do you want to learn how to lower your grocery bill and save money big time? Learn how to stock pile groceries for your home, church, non-profit organization and get items for almost nothing. Learn to plan meals your family will enjoy and get ideas to share with others.

Boot camp fitness
When: Ongoing classes are held Tuesday and Thursday from 6:15-7:45 p.m. beginning Feb. 5
Where: Ezra Sparrow Early Childhood Center with certified personal trainer Todd Barrick.
Cost: $7 per class or $60 (10 classes)
Description: Boot Camp Fitness is held twice a week teaching five different fitness interval sessions. The workout consists of circuit training, heart rate intervals, strength, core and plymetric training.  The workout includes warm-up exercises and a cool down. This camp is co-ed and is structure to fit all fitness levels. Please bring a mat, bottle of water, a towel and gym shoes.
