Anderson County Grand Jury indicts five

The following people were indicted Nov. 17 by the Anderson County Grand Jury, according to documents obtained at the Anderson County Courthouse.

Michael B. Griffin, of 5122 Whirlaway Lane, was indicted on 12 charges: five counts of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon; three counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument; theft by unlawful taking (firearm); giving an officer a false name/address; and first-degree persistent felony offender.

Bobby Lance Sutton, 22, of 1710 Bonds Mill Road, was indicted on one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Justin Shepherd, 29, of 176 Alford Road, Salvisa, was indicted on 15 charges: five counts of first-degree wanton endangerment; two counts of theft by unlawful taking (more than $300); two counts of theft by unlawful taking (firearm); possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; possession of a handgun by a convicted felon; first-degree fleeing/evading police; failure to stop and render aid; operating a motor vehicle under the influence; and second-degree persistent felony offender.

Donovan L. Himes, 37, of 1141 Versailles Road, no. 34, was indicted on two charges: second-degree assault; and intimidating a participant in a legal process.

Justin K. Boblett, 27, of 1107 Nantucket Way, was indicted on three charges: first-degree burglary; theft by unlawful taking (firearm); and theft by unlawful taking (more than $300).
