Anti-tank round discovered at recycling center

The Kentucky State Police were called to the sheriff’s office Tuesday morning after a 75 millimeter anti-tank artillery round was left at the county’s recycling center, according to a news release from the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office.
Jack Edwards, supervisor at Kentucky State Police Hazardous Devices, responded and identified it as a World War II-era anti-tank round. He advised it was a solid projectile that had previously been fired and posed no explosive risk. He collected the round for disposal, according to the news release.
