Archery teams to compete in state meet

The Anderson County High School archery team took first place overall in the National Archery in the Schools Program Region 5 tournament, held March 1 at the Frankfort High School's F.D. Wilkinson gymnasium.

Whitney Ditmore took first place and Kate Wickizer placed fifth in the girls' competition, while Anderson made a near sweep of the boys' competition, with Andrew Burkhart winning and Dillon Burkhead, Hunter Lilly and Ian Gill taking second, third and fifth places, respectively.
