The city council discussed the issue of fireworks and the appointment of an interim police chief at its July 9 council meeting.
Council member Bobby Durr asked Mayor Edwinna Baker if the city had any sort of time limit on when fireworks start and when they end, and to think about making changes to the city’s ordinance prior to next year’s Fourth of July
The mayor said she and fire chief Robert Hume had discussed making possible changes to the ordinance to present to the council for final approval.
