Hartley's attorney claims second doctor found no evidence of broken bones

Charges against the father accused of shaking his infant daughter so hard she suffered retinal bleeding, brain bleeds and broken bones were referred to the Anderson County Grand Jury last Thursday.
Derek Hartley, 26, of 1016 Anderson City Road, was arrested Nov. 19 on two charges of first-degree assault. He appeared in Anderson County District Court on Thursday for a preliminary hearing before Judge Linda Armstrong.
