Bald is beautiful

Head-shaving event to support stricken child

By Shannon Brock

This Friday, around 30 local people are going bald — on purpose.

A group of Walmart employees, and possibly some members of the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, will be shaving their heads at the salon in Walmart beginning around 11 a.m.

Why lose all that hair voluntarily? Because so many people, especially one Lawrenceburg boy, lose theirs involuntarily.

The event is a fundraiser for Joshua Huff and his family. Joshua was diagnosed with leukemia this summer at the age of 3.
