Band of Brothers serves community well

To the editor:
At a recent boys’ and girls’ basketball game, the Band of Brothers Community Service Organization, along with Morgan Norton, Allie Rogers, Brittany House, Haley Elder, Lauren Fowler and Abby Pike, collected donations for our local food pantry.
The Band of Brothers is a group of senior football players who have determined they would like to serve their community.
Serve they did.
With the help of the beautiful young ladies, they collected at the gate, concessions area and throughout the crowd during both ball games.
The crowd responded wonderfully, and the group collected $577.29.
On behalf of the board of directors of the Lamp and Light Ministries, Open Hands Community Food Pantry, I would like to thank this wonderful group of young people from our community.
Their parents, coaches, churches, school and community can be very proud of their efforts to serve others.
Their example should be an inspiration to all. May God bless each and every one of them.
