Bearcats upset Collins, Lady Bearcats rout district foe in homecoming sweep

Real rivalry games are those where you really can expect the unexpected.

Anderson County showed Friday night that it has a new rival – a real one, at that – in Collins High School. The Bearcat boys' basketball team pulled off a shocker while the Lady Bearcats methodically dispatched Collins in the opener.

The Bearcats stunned Collins, ranked 15th and a 13-point favorite in the Rating the State rankings, 55-43, before a packed house at Anderson County High School Friday night.
