In the rebirth of Anderson County football, there have been some signature wins but one of the most important, and overlooked, came at West Jessamine, the next foe on the Bearcat schedule.
The date was Oct. 20, 2006. The Bearcats overcame a sloppy - horrendous might be a better description - field and the emotion of West Jessamine's Senior Night to post a 24-12 win.
The naysayer would point out that Anderson's sixth win of the season came against a club that had only beaten lowly Bourbon County.
