It is unlikely that anyone ever defending Sparta ever had to go up against the kind of attack Austin Cummins threw at Lexington Sayre Saturday night.
The Anderson County sophomore came off the bench to hit 6-of-8 three-pointers to lead the Bearcats to a tougher-than-expected 61-50 win over the homestanding Spartans.
Cummins tallied 18 points, but he was not alone as the Bearcats played bombs away over the Spartans' diamond-and-one defense designed to slow down Anderson's Jay Smith.
