Jay Smith, Austin Cummins and Christian Estes scored 16 points each as Anderson County defeated Carroll County 63-54 in boys' basketball action Thursday night in Carrollton.
The Bearcats led all four quarter stops but were unable to pull away until the final eight minutes when they outscored the Panthers 24-19. Cummins and Estes both scored eight points in the final frame.
“Carroll County has a nice ball club,” Anderson coach Glen Drury said. “They have an all-region player in Trey Boles and a nice guard (Jay Damron).”
