Estes leads four double-digit scorers

Anderson County exploded over the final 12 minutes to destroy visiting Western Hills, 94-59, Friday night.

Leading 52-43 midway through the third quarter, the Bearcats went on an 11-2 scoring run that turned a competitive game into an unexpected rout.

The Bearcats did as they pleased down the stretch to post their 13th win in 15 games.

Christian Estes led four Anderson players in double figures with 23 points while Jay Smith added 18 and Austin Cummins, making his first varsity start, added 17. Luke Mann came off the bench to score 13.

Smith and Estes both had seven rebounds while Smith was also credited with five assists.

Western Hills, which lost its sixth straight game and fell to 4-15, was led by ZhaVaughn Reed with 13 points while Justin Frost added 10.
