NEW CASTLE – All Anderson County ever wanted was a chance.

It was a wish that had dominated off-season workouts. It drove the Bearcats when they gathered for pre-season practice in October.

“We have a chance to be good,” Coach Glen Drury repeatedly said during that time.

That chance, one that would end with the Bearcats playing in this week's Sweet 16 at Rupp Arena, grew bigger as they piled up wins in December and January.
