Boys Eighth Region pairings announced; Bearcats play Gallatin Thursday

Anderson County will play Gallatin County in the first round of the Eighth Region Tournament Thursday, March 6, at Henry County High School. Game time is 6:30 p.m.

The Bearcats defeated Gallatin 68-59 just before Christmas but both are slightly different teams in March.

The contest will match two of the contenders for the Eighth Region championship in what figures to be the marquee game of the opening round. Gallatin and Anderson are the two winningest teams in the region in 2007-08.

The draw appears to be balanced throughout the brackets.
