Brave teen honored by fiscal court

Sierra Prophet smiles while being lauded by Judge-Executive John Wayne Conway during last Tuesday’s meeting of the Anderson County Fiscal Court. Conway presented Sierra a certificate for her brave actions in chasing a would-be burglar from a family member’s home last month. The teenager awoke when her dog, Harley, barked at the burglar, who was standing in a doorway near where Sierra and other family members were sleeping. She yelled at the burglar, who fled. ‘You should have brought Harley with you,’ said Conway, who also had a certificate for the dog.
