Burgoo Festival starts Friday; cook off is Saturday

If you haven’t experienced Lawrenceburg’s annual burgoo festival yet, now’s your chance.
The 19th Anderson County Burgoo Festival activities kick off on Sept. 28 with a pancake breakfast at the Anderson County Senior Center at 7 a.m.
The second annual Burgoo Cook Off will begin at 11 a.m. on the Lawrenceburg Green. Festival goers are invited to sample and vote on local businesses and organizations’ burgoo, with all proceeds going to the sheriff’s office’s Shop with a Cop program.
