Cats rout Casey in opener with 'segments of real good basketball'

It took a while to get the opening game kinks out but Anderson County showed why it is considered one of the teams to beat in the Eighth Region Monday night.

The Bearcats used a balanced attack to rout visiting Casey County 70-52, their third consecutive season-opening win over the Rebels. C.J. Penny led the Bearcats with 20 points, but Anderson got big games from sophomores Will Ruggles and Nick Humphries who scored 15 and 11, respectively.
