Christ belongs in public square, everywhere else

To the editor:
Editor’s note: The following is in response to a letter in last week’s paper by Maxye Henry titled “Keep Christ out of the public square.”
Ms. Henry, did you ever think that just maybe this is the reason that our country is in the shape it is in?
We have taken God out of everything, including the schools, courthouses and even the Oval Office.
You need to dust off your history book and re-read it if you think that this country’s founders thought Christ did not belong in government. He belongs there more now than ever, and this country was founded on the belief “In God We Trust.”
Look how he has blessed this country in the past. As ungrateful as we are now, I don’t blame in if he never does again.
Ms. Henry it is comforting for me to know that when I die here on Earth that I will live for eternity in an unimaginable paradise. I pray that you and the other lost people of this world will one day come to know Christ and join me there also.
I invite you to join me each Sunday in church or each day in the study of God’s word, the Holy Bible.
I will be praying for you.
