Christian Academy places third in volleyball tourney

The Christian Academy of Lawrenceburg volleyball team placed third in the recent Cumberland Christian Home Educators tournament, held in Somerset.

Brette Elliott made several great digs. She helped set the ball up well and also was the high scorer of the team for the day. She had several great serves, according to information provided by the school.
Payton McKinney and Abby Perry set the ball up for Nancy Lee Holt several times. Teri Crutcher also delivered some sizzling serves, school officials said.

Perry, Holt, Tesa McKinney and Payton McKinney made some spectacular digs. Holt also had several good spikes and returns of spikes from the other team, school officials said.

There was an CCHE Ace contest. Eighth-grader Brette Elliott finished second and Holt, a freshman, placed fourth. Elliott and Holt were team MVP’s from the tournament.
