New Hope Baptist
 announces events
On Nov.18, New Hope Baptist in Versailles will be dedicating the shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child.  
The church-wide Thanksgiving Potluck Meal will be Sunday, Nov. 18 at 5 p.m. Bring several dishes to share.  
If you or someone you know needs a Thanksgiving meal, please contact New Hope at 873-1707.
The church will be delivering meals from 10 a.m. to noon on Thanksgiving Day. The delivery and meal are free.  
Join New Hope Baptist on Nov. 21, as we go to Heritage hall to visit the elderly. “Come bless the residents and be blessed,” event organizers said.
Call New Hope if you have any prayer concerns; the church’s senior pastor is Dr. J. Wesley Noss.

Glensboro Baptist Church to deliver Thanksgiving meals
Glensboro Baptist Church will deliver Thanksgiving meals to those in need starting at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 22.
The annual Thanksgiving Dinner will be held at the church from 12-1 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 22.
If anyone would like to sign up for a Thanksgiving meal or needs a meal delivered, contact the Rev. Glenn Corn at 502-839-8290.
Glensboro Baptist Church is located at 2910 Glensboro Road in Lawrenceburg.

Trinity Church of God
 to hold concert
The Lawrenceburg Trinity Church of God, located at 106 Hilltop Drive in Lawrenceburg, will be hosting Kevin Wilson as he ministers in song on Sunday, Nov. 18 at 11 a.m.
“Come worship with us as Kevin Wilson ministers to us through his music,” event organizers said in a press release.

Salvisa Thanksgiving
service to be held Nov. 20
The Salvisa Community Thanksgiving Service will be held at 7 p.m. on Nov. 20 at Clay Lick United Methodist Church, located at 225 Clay Lick Road, Salvisa. The Rev. George Roberts, pastor of Salvisa United Methodist Church, will be preaching. Dessert and fellowship time will follow the service.

Van Buren Baptist to hold fall revival services
=Van Buren Baptist Church will have Fall Revival services from Friday to Sunday, Nov. 16-18.
The services will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights, and at 11 a.m. on Sunday morning.
Former pastor Paul Hagerman will bring the revival message each service and Winfred Hagerman will be the music leader for the revival. There will be special music for each revival service, and a special gospel group will perform during the Saturday night service.
Van Buren Baptist is located at the west end of the county at 1488 Fairmont Road, off Highway 248. Follow the red church signs.

Churches  participate in Operation Christmas Child
Area churches invite the Anderson County community to participate in Samaritan Purse’s annual event, Operation Christmas Child.
The local drop off center in Anderson County collected  approximately 2,900 boxes last year, according to a press release.
Drop off your shoe box at Ninevah Christian Church, Ninevah Road beginning Monday, Nov. 12  through Sunday, Nov. 18. Hours will be 9a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.  Hours for Wednesday and Sunday: 9 a.m to 9p.m.
Shoe boxes can include school supplies, toys, hygiene items, hard candy and lollipops (please double bag all candy), mints, gum, T-shirts, socks, ball caps, sunglasses, hair clips, toy jewelry, watches and flashlights (with extra batteries.)  Do not include  used or damaged items; war-related items such as toy guns, knives or military figures; chocolate or food; out-of-date candy; liquids or lotions; medications or vitamins; breakable items such as snow globes or glass containers; and aerosol cans.   
A personal note may also be added.
