Salvisa Community Thanksgiving
 service to be held Nov. 20
The Salvisa Community Thanksgiving Service will be held at 7 p.m. on Nov. 20 at Clay Lick United Methodist Church, located at 225 Clay Lick Road, Salvisa. The Rev. George Roberts, pastor of Salvisa United Methodist Church, will be preaching. Dessert and fellowship time will follow the service.

Frankfort First United Methodist
to host madrigal dinner
and yuletide festival
First United Methodist Church will host its 31st Madrigal Dinner and Yuletide Festival on Dec. 7 and Dec. 9.
The event includes a dinner beginning at 6 p.m. in Asbury Hall in the Wesley Center. There will be entertainment from madrigal singers and other guest singers.
The Yuletide festival begins at 7:15 p.m. in the sanctuary with entertainment from a 40-member voice Chancel Choir and a Christmas drama.
Dinner and festival tickets are $20 for preferred seating, and $15 for general seating. Free tickets will be available in the back portion of the sanctuary for those who do not wish to attend the dinners. Contact the office at 502-227-7430 or e-mail dianafumc@fewpb.net for more information.

Salvisa Ruritan to host
annual Christmas parade
The Salvisa Ruritan Christmas parade will be held Dec. 1 at 10 a.m.
The 2012 Grand Marshall is Tim Farmer. Attendees are asked to bring non-perishable items or canned goods to donate to Mercer County families in need.
The Christmas parade will also be sponsoring a float contest: $100 for the grand prize; youth division float wins $50 for first place; adult division float wins $50 for first place; overall float winner wins an additional $100.
There will also be a Snow Queen contest, with the winner receiving $100, crown and  roses. The contest to open to all high school age girls in Mercer County.
Parade goers will also be able to enjoy hot chocolate and snacks with Santa after the parade.

Glensboro Baptist Church
to deliver Thanksgiving meals
Glensboro Baptist Church will deliver Thanksgiving meals to those in need starting at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 22.
The annual Thanksgiving Dinner will be held at the church from 12-1 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 22.
If anyone would like to sign up for a Thanksgiving meal or needs a meal delivered, contact the Rev. Glenn Corn at 502-839-8290.
Glensboro Baptist Church is located at 2910 Glensboro Road in Lawrenceburg.
