Alton Christian Church
announces future events
David Pitt will perform Sunday, Sept. 2 at 6:30 p.m. at Alton Christian Church, located at 1686 Old Frankfort Road.
The children's youth went to Falling Springs on Aug. 12 and had “a splashing good time,” according to event organizers. The month of September the youth will be studying the book of Luke, one of Jesus' disciples. The youth will also be collecting donations for Backpack Buddies.

New Hope Baptist announces
upcoming events
New Hope Baptist in Versailles will resume its Wednesday night meals Wednesday, Aug. 29 from 5:30-6:30. The church invites the community to join in fellowship, with prayer meeting, youth and missions to follow at 6:30 p.m.
If individuals are interested in playing volleyball at Falling Springs on Tuesdays, beginning Sept. 4, please sign up in the worship center or contact Sheila Calvert. Participants must be 16 or over. Mark calendars for Wednesday, Sept.19, as the church goes to Heritage Hall to visit and worship with the residents. Participants will leave from the church at 10:30 a.m. Call New Hope Baptist at 873-1707 with any prayer needs.

Westside community church
celebrates baptisms
On Aug. 5 Pastor F.D. Robinson baptized Nancy Riddle, Randy Goodrich, Lois Sutton, Mary Jarrell and James Jarrell after the 11 a.m. service.
On Aug. 6 Westside had a swim party at Juniper Hill.
On Aug. 25 Westside had a church family event at the Pavilion.
Upcoming events
On Sept. 2 The Inn will be singing during the 11 a.m. services
On Sept. 18 Westside will be conducting its Heritage Hall ministry at 7 p.m. On Sept. 29 the Westside kids will have a scavenger Hunt for children fifth grade and up. Event organizers ask participants to meet at the church at noon and to ask Chad or April Booth for more information.

Salvisa Christian offers free clothes
In preparation for the opening of schools, Salvisa Christian Church will sponsor a community free clothes closet on Labor Day, Sept. 3 from 2-4 p.m.
