Helping Hands sponsors ‘50s themed Ladies Day

The Helping Hands Mission Circle of Glensboro Christian Church in Lawrenceburg will host its fourth annual Ladies Day Outreach Program on Aug. 20 from approximately 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The church is located on the left hand side of Highway 44, about miles from US 127 Bypass.
This event is open to all ladies, regardless of denomination.
The theme for this year is “Back to the ’50s.” The speaker will be Marna Bollinger and special music provided by Daughters of the King.
Attendees are encouraged to get our their poodle skirts, oxford shoes, bobby socks, neck scarves, and other ’50s fashion for the event.
The morning session begins with registration at 9:30 and should conclude around 11:30 with a meal of fried chicken, baked potatoes, salad, dessert and drinks.
The afternoon session will begin around 1 p.m. and conclude around 3:30.
The sessions are free, but donations are appreciated.
There will also be games, free gifts and door prizes.

Ninevah Christian to host
live feed of prayer event
The Ninevah Christian at 1195 Ninevah Road invites the community to join them on Aug. 6 to view a live video feed of “The Response: a call to prayer for a nation in crisis” from Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas.
The 7-hour event is a national call to prayer and fasting for the nation, and will be shown on the two large screens in the NCC Worship Center Complex.
Participants can feel free to come and go anytime during the event.
The church will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Cowboy Church reschedules event
The Rodeo Cowboy Church has rescheduled the trail ride/cookout for Aug. 28 at 10 a.m. at the Taylorsville Lake State Park, Shelter 2.
Trailers need to be parked at the day parking field.
All horses need a negative Coggins test and heath certificate.

Glensboro Baptist  holds benefit
Glensboro Baptist will host a benefit for Little Brian Perry on Aug. 6 at 5 p.m.
There will be music, an auction, food and fellowship. Everyone is welcome.
Musical groups performing at the benefit include the Good Ole Boys, Calvary’s trio, New Vision, the Walridge Family, Theresa Curtsinger and many more.
