On July 1 Pastor F.D. Robinson baptized Glenn Dunn, Samuel Green, JoAnn Rucker, Brandon Jones and Ladonna Bell.
On July 20 Westside had a Family Fun Night in which the church family went to the movies.
On July 22 Westside held its last Sunday Service at 700 West Broadway.
On July 28 Westside had a Family Fun Night in which the church family went bowling.
On July 29 Westside Community Church held its first service at the new location on 1311 Versailles Road. The church had a building dedication, it’s first baptism and a hot dog dinner on the grounds.

Aug. 19: Lift Ladies Meeting at 4:30 p.m. Ladies please bring a dish towel for a towel exchange.

Aug. 25: Westside will have Family Fun Day at the Pavilion in Frankfort for grilling and fellowship.
Van Buren Baptist Church hosts
back-to-school splash
Van Buren Baptist Church will host a “Back to School Splash with Jesus” on Aug. 18 at 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the church.
The event will be a one-day Bible school for kindergarten through sixth grade students. Event organizers ask that participants wear bathing suits with T-shirts and shorts and to bring a towel. Van Buren Baptist is located at 1488 Fairmont Road. Call 502-382-8005 for details.
Church offers free clothes, veggies
Free clothing will be available for men, women and children on Aug. 11 from 9-11 a.m. at Farmdale Baptist Church, the church announced. There will also be a limited supply of fresh vegetables from the church’s community garden. The clothing was donated through the church’s Clothes Closet Ministry, according to event organizers. The church is located at 5610 US 127 South, just across the Franklin County line.
Shiloh Christian Church hosts revival
Shiloh Christian Church will hold its annual revival Aug. 12-15 at 7 p.m.
Sunday’s speaker will be Larry Oetzel, and Jamie Goins will bring special music. Monday’s speaker will be Scott Young and Daughters of the King will bring special music.
On Aug. 7 Mark Wells will be the speaker, and Travis York will bring special music. On Aug. 8 Dan McDonald will speak, and Trinity will bring special music. Shiloh is located at 1122 Willisburg Road in Lawrenceburg. Additional information is available at fb.com/shilohchurchky.
