A proposal for a new city sign ordinance — drafted with input from businesses, the Anderson County chamber of commerce and city officials — is scheduled to be back on the table before the city council after more than a year of discussion, according to City Attorney Robert Myles.
Mayor Edwinna Baker asked Myles to update council members at Monday night’s meeting on the progress of the sign ordinance, the enforcement of which prompted more than a dozen business owners to voice their concerns before the council in June 2011.
