The fourth annual Anderson County Civil War re-enactment of the battles of Lawrenceburg and Dogwalk will bring more than 250 re-enactors to the Anderson County Community Park on Sept. 21-23, according to event organizers.
The re-enactment kicks off with school activities on Friday, Sept. 21 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Eighth grade students from Anderson Middle School will compete in a “Gettysburg Address” contest, with five finalists showcasing during the Ladies Tea and the winner being named at the battle re-enactment, according to event organizers.
