Collins took advantage of some crucial Anderson County defensive mistakes, then rode a late rally to defeat the Bearcats, 7-3, for the 30th District baseball championship Tuesday night at Barnes Memorial Field.
Anderson had already committed four errors when the Bearcats bobbled a tailor-made double play ball that would have ended the Collins sixth. Given a reprieve, the Titans took advantage with E.J. Burk and Zac Wiley belting back-to-back home runs to highlight a five-run uprising.
Anderson had taken the lead on Lucas Durr's two-run singie in the top of the sixth.
