This Halloween I was more likely to be found watching a Christmas movie than watching anything scary or the slightest bit horrific.
I’m afraid of scary movies — they give me nightmares, wake-up-with-your-heart-racing-and-tears-streaming-down-your-face nightmares. So I avoid them.
I wouldn’t call it a full-blown phobia. It doesn’t interrupt my normal way of life, but there are a couple of things that do.
