In the last 15 years, it has happened just twice in the Eighth Region, both times on the girls’ side – 1998 with South Oldham and 2004 with Bullitt East. Since Henry County started hosting the boys’ tournament annually in 1963, that school has not come close to a Sweet 16 berth.
