For several days last week, my Twitter feed was busy with what seemed to be countless reminders about Saturday being the 40th anniversary of the signing of the Title IX law.

I clicked on links to stories about the pioneers of women in sport in the 1960s who might have been much of the impetus for the landmark legislation. I even got some information about ESPN3 launching a new station, called ESPNW, showing nothing but women's sports.
