Claylick UMC hosts “God’s Game Plan” July 26-27
Claylick United Methodist Church will host God’s Game Plan, a Vacation Bible School for children in grades pre-K and up, July 26-27.
The two-day event uses sports themes to help share the message of Jesus and faith with children.
“God’s Game Plan” starts Sat., July 26, with breakfast and registration at 8:30 a.m.
The day will conclude at 3:15 p.m. and lunch will be provided.
On Sun., July 27, “God’s Game Plan” will be held from 3-6 p.m. and will include a dinner.

Church VBS kickoff
The Glensboro Baptist Church will host a vacation bible school kickoff on Sat., July 12, at 3 p.m.

Benefit Ride benefits
Open Hands Food Pantry
The Open Hands Community Food Pantry is sponsoring a benefit ride Sat., July 19.
Registration starts at 11 a.m. and kick stands up at 12:30 p.m.
The ride will begin and end at the pantry with all proceeds going to support the Pantry.

State Fair Pride of the
Counties Committee
The Pride of the Counties committee will meet regularly before the Kentucky State Fair to make plans for the Anderson County exhibit.

Garden Tractor Pull
will be July 12
The Mackville Community Center and Mackville Lions Club, in partnership with the Commonwealth Garden Tractor Pulling Association, will host a garden tractor pull at Mackville Community Center Sat., July 12, with weigh starting at 10 a.m.
Concessions will be available for purchase. Proceeds benefit the Mackville Community Center.

This event is a fun, hands-on money personality test that helps you see how money habits and attitudes influence your life and financial choices.’
Learn how to plug your spending leaks. This event is from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and a free lunch is included.
•The Home, Craft and Garden Fair Catalog is now available at the Anderson County Extension Office.
There are many classes for youth and adults to enter. Entry is free.
Premium money is awarded for blue ribbons.

Ragged Edge Community
Theatre plans event
Ragged Edge Community Theatre will host an outdoor production of James Harrod: The Battle for Kentucky every Thurs.-Sat. in July.
All shows begin at 8:30 p.m. and are staged at the Fort Harrod Amphitheater.

Anderson County
Community Medical Clinic
Anderson County Community Medical Clinic Inc. will be open the second and fourth Tuesday of each month from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Patients must be screened and referred to the clinic through the Anderson County Health Department.
To qualify, one must be an Anderson County Kentucky resident, 18 years of age or older, have been diagnosed with a chronic illness and have no insurance.
Call the Health Department at 502.839.4551 to be screened and given an appointment. No walk-ins will be accepted at the clinic.

Anderson County 911 changed its weekly testing of the outdoor severe weather warning sirens from noon on Saturdays to noon on Wednesdays.
