Lovers Leap hosts first free Fall Fling for Humane Society
Lovers Leap Vineyards and Winery and Talk of the Town will be hosting a free Fall Fling fundraiser and raffle for the Anderson Humane Society on Oct. 20 from 1-5 p.m.
Music will be from 1-3 p.m., and Talk of the Town will be catering the event.
Raffle tickets can be purchased at Talk of the Town, Frame Clinic and Lovers Leap on the day of the event. Items for the raffle can be viewed before the event at talk of the Town.

Emulation 688 Masonic Lodge to host ham supper Oct. 20
The Emulation 688 Masonic Lodge in Sharpsville will host a ham supper on Oct. 20 at 5:30 p.m. The dinner will be $7 per person. Proceeds will go to masonic lodge activities. For more information, contact 502-598-9409.

Anderson Public Library October computer classes schedule
Call the library at 839-6420 or speak with a staff member at the circulation desk for class descriptions or to sign up. Class space is limited to 5 students. Learn the basics of opening and using email. We will discuss and opening an account, logging into your account, composing a new message, sending a message, attaching a file, and maintaining your inbox. Pre-registration is required.

This class is for the beginner. The main goal is to ease anxieties about using the computer. Topics include: parts of the computer and mouse / keyboard skills. No previous computer skills required. Pre-registration is required.

Time: 10 a.m. to noon
Learn more advanced word processing skills including bulleted and numbered lists, cut/copy/paste functions, and printing envelopes and labels.
Prerequisite: Word Level 1 class or experience creating simple documents using Word 2007 or 2010. Pre-registration is required.

The Adult Learning Center, located at 219 E. Woodford St., is open from 8 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Adult education offers classes in GED/College-prep instruction, educational assessment and learning workplace skills. The Bluegrass Community and Technical College offers adult education services Monday through Friday from noon until 4 p.m. Community education offers lifelong learning classes, humanities programs, Community of Promise involvement and opportunities to volunteer in the schools and throughout the community.  For information call the office at 502-839-3754.
