Feb. 3: Ducks Unlimited Banquet, sponsored by Shelby County Ducks Unlimited Chapter
Ducks Unlimited will host dinner with a silent and live auction at Claudia Sanders Dinner House on Feb. 3.  Happy hour begins at 5:30 p.m. with dinner following. Auction, raffle and prize items include guided hunts, guns, gear and more. Tickets are $50 single or $60 per couple. Children are encouraged to attend. Upcoming Grand Theatre school matinees
Feb. 10: Dance Kaleidoscope presents “The Dance Show,” in which dancers explain and perform the elements of dance to a wide array of music. The performance is designed for all grades; it is a one-hour show that starts at 10 a.m. At 3 p.m., the troupe will hold a free master class dance workshop for children ages 9-18. Participation is limited to 30 students and reservations must be made through the Grand Theatre box office at 352-7469.

Free Tax Assistance
The AARP tax aides will be at the Anderson Senior Center on Feb. 2 and Feb. 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The tax aides will be at the Anderson Public Library on Feb. 8, 11, 22, and 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tax aides will assist all income levels and all ages at both locations. First come are the first served for the free service.
