City/county government

8:30 a.m., Registration for all road tests with the license examiner.

8:30 to 10:30 a.m., All written tests for driving permits, reinstatements and commercial drivers licenses.

Community events

Franklin-Simpson County Fair pageants with Little Miss and Master (ages 5-7, as couples), Preteen (8-12), Teen (13-15) and Miss (16-21) at Goodnight Auditorium, 203 S. Main St. in Franklin. Winners will advance to state competition. Pageants are open to all Kentucky residents.

5:30 to 8 p.m., Family Literacy and Next Step Program, Anderson Community Education building, 219 E. Woodford St. A free childcare development program is provided for children 2-16 years old.

Community events

Franklin-Simpson County Fair children’s pageants for ages 0-10. The divisions will be 0-6 months boys and girls, 7-12 months boys and girls, 1-3-year-old boys, 1-year-old girls, 2-year-old girls, 3-4-year-old girls, 5-6-year-old girls, 7-8-year-old girls and 9-10-year-old girls. Pageants are open to everyone and will be at the Agricultural Building in Jim Roberts Community Park fair grounds in Franklin.
